Data Week 2026 has officially opened its call for workshops and contributions, inviting European projects, researchers, industry stakeholders and innovation communities to help shape discussions on the future of data and Artificial Intelligence in Europe.
Organised by the Big Data Value Association (BDVA) together with leading Norwegian research and innovation organisations, the event will take place in Oslo on 5–6 May 2026 and will gather key actors from across the European data and AI ecosystem.
For projects such as ACHILLES, Data Week represents an important platform to exchange knowledge, strengthen collaboration and contribute to ongoing discussions around trustworthy AI, data governance, interoperability and strategic digital autonomy.
The call particularly encourages contributions aligned with Europe’s strategic priorities in AI and data, including the AI Continent Action Plan and the Data Union Strategy. Proposed workshops are expected to address pathways towards real-world deployment, adoption and impact across industrial and public-sector value chains.
As Europe continues to accelerate the development of responsible and human-centric AI, initiatives like Data Week 2026 play a key role in fostering collaboration between research, industry and policymakers. ACHILLES strongly supports these efforts through its mission to develop “Lighter, Clearer, Safer” AI systems aligned with European values, transparency requirements and regulatory frameworks.
