On May 28, 2025, the ACHILLES project took part in the session “Automation Meets Accountability: The Future of Compliance in Artificial Intelligence and Data Spaces” during Data Week 2025, hosted at the OTE Group premises in Athens, Greece.
Our project coordinator, André V. Carreiro from Fraunhofer Portugal AICOS, joined a high-level panel alongside representatives of the ACCOMPLISH, DATAPACT, and CERTAIN projects to explore how cutting-edge initiatives are driving automated regulatory compliance in the context of AI and data spaces.
ACHILLES contributed to the discussion by highlighting its innovative approach to building trustworthy and efficient AI ecosystems, leveraging technologies that ensure compliance automation, transparency, and responsible data sharing.
The session emphasized the need to align technological innovation with ethical, legal, and societal values, addressing regulatory challenges related to both general (e.g., GDPR, AI Act) and sector-specific frameworks.
